The camera shows a message instead of a picture
The stage always says why. “Camera access needed” means iOS is blocking the camera. Go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera and switch HM Camera on. “Camera paused” clears by itself after a call, or tap Try Again.
A guest says their email never arrived
Check spam first, then check the guest’s address on their card in the Share tab and resend from there. Addresses that permanently failed or opted out are on a do-not-send list we never email again; entering a fresh, correct address starts clean.
How the email pool works
Every account gets 50 free guest emails, one time, shared by your whole team. The Share tab shows how many are left; once they're used, one-time top-up packs are in Settings › Emails and apply instantly.
Running an iPad kiosk that guests can’t escape
Open your event, then turn on the Kiosk mode toggle. Lock the iPad to it with Guided Access: Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access → on, then triple-click the top button inside HM Camera. Guests can register, and nothing else.
How do guests join the queue?
Attendees scan your event QR, enter their name and email, and land in your queue, ready to shoot. Teach the purpose first: the code opens registration so their submission is waiting when you raise the phone.
